also: the aces' ADL partnership continues to look worse and worse

I’m traveling back from a weekend away and have some bigger newsletter posts in the works, which I’m excited about. To tide you over, here are some quick hits from the last week in queer women’s sports.
The Aces ADL partnership looks even worse (as if that was possible) in light of CEO Jonathan Greenblatt’s comments during an address to Republican attorney generals last week, in which he compared pro-Palestinian student protesters to ISIS and al-Qaeda and said that they were driven by the “same kind of nihilists” who participated in the Black Lives Matter movement.
I can’t help but wonder how the predominantly Black Aces roster feels about their franchise giving money to an organization that openly attacks Black Lives Matter and racial justice activism. It’s also worth noting that the Aces have Kierstan Bell on the roster, who is one of only two active WNBA players to sign the Athletes For Ceasefire letter (the other being New York Liberty player Natasha Cloud).
Speaking of Natasha Cloud, she’s been rocking these Sabrina 2s the last few games, which have “Save Gaza” written on them.
Happy Pride Month to trans allies Simone Biles and Major League Baseball player Willi Castro.
