Three-time Olympian Erik Shoji, the U.S. men’s national volleyball team captain, has come out as queer. He was part of the U.S. volleyball team that won bronze at Rio 2016 and Paris 2024.

After the Dodgers told National Anthem singer Nezza that she could not sing “El Pendon Estrellado,” the Spanish version of the “Star Spangled Banner” that was commissioned by President Roosevelt in 1945, she sang it anyway. She now says she has been banned from performing at Dodger Stadium again (that last part is “the bad”).
At this weekend’s Angel City FC vs North Carolina Courage game, Angel City gave out “Immigrant City” shirts to fans. The back said “Los Angeles is for everyone. Los Ángeles es para todos.”
